Karien van Gennip has been the Minister of Social Affairs and Employment
since January 2022. Her portfolio includes labour market policy, working conditions, labour migration, civic integration, labour market discrimination,
childcare and various child benefit schemes, purchasing power, international
policy, and inspection and supervision. Themes such as equal opportunities and inclusion have been a common thread throughout her career.
This important event will take up the main points that have been discussed during the conference and will embed them into the rich history of the Global Conferences on Child Labour. It will emphasize how we can learn from past experiences and strengthen collaboration to accelerate action to end child labour once and for all.
