Nourgo Koné is a Senior Education Specialist at Save the Children. He manages education and child protection projects in Côte d’Ivoire for over 10 years. He is a driving force behind the development of bridge classes: education programs that help former child labourers back into formal education systems. Having worked for Save the Children, the Jacobs Foundation, and the government of Côte d’Ivoire, Nourgo is considered a thought leader in children’s right to education and the need for education to eliminate child labour.
The event focuses on shared experiences and best practices in getting children out of work and back into school, by strengthening child protection systems and using area-based approaches.
