Maite Nkoana-Mashabane

Minister of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, South Africa

Ms Maite Nkoana-Mashabane was born in the Limpopo Province. Ms Nkoana-Mashabane was appointed as Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities with effect from 30 May 2019. Minister Nkoana-Mashabane is a seasoned comrade of the Congress Movement, a diplomat of note and a servant of her people. She holds a number of qualifications including a degree in Pedagogy from the University of Limpopo. She holds a Masters degree in Diplomatic Studies from the University of Pretoria. Her love for education was further entrenched when she worked as a teacher in the Sekhukhune District in the Limpopo Province for a brief period.
