Hem Bahadur Moktan is the Child Development Officer at Nepal GoodWeave Foundation. Hem is a three-time child trafficking survivor. Trafficked from his home community to work at a carpet factory in Kathmandu at the age of ten years old, Hem was 13 when he was identified and rescued by GoodWeave . He was enrolled in GoodWeave’s transit home for rescued children and received long-term support for his education. Now with a Master’s Degree and a PhD in progress, he works to rehabilitate and protect other children from the exploitation he once faced.
